Christmas and Other Treats For December

Thank you so much to everyone who linked up in November. There were ten entries in total, and it has been a joy to read all of them. Seeing so many others finding the positives in sticky situations, and learning lessons in dark times has been particularly interesting. I find myself wondering what lessons will be learnt as we approach Christmas 2020 and the new year.

December can be a tricky month for many of us.

There are so many reasons why difficulties arise. Trauma in our pasts, financial pressure, SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and yet, with all of the sparkly lights and holiday cheer, it is easy to get sucked along on a ride of Christmas Joy and Wonder that can leave us feeling miserable.

For myself December is my worst month. I am not a grinch, or Ebeneezer Scrooge, I just find this time of year… hard. And so I hope to find some things to celebrate, moments in time that I would like to look at when the festivities get too much. I hope that you can all share too! I would love to see what is lighting up your month. And that can include Christmas!

But that’s not all.

For me this space is as much about having somewhere to come back to and reflect on the silver linings when times are challenging. Hopefully we can make it into a treasure trove of positivity? A gratitude journal for us all to share and benefit from.
